Cathy Flippen
Founder
As an Ordained Evangelist, devoted servant of God, motivational speaker,wife, mother, Talk Show, Host and producer of “Women of Destiny", Cathy is wife of Leslie Flippen, the mother of three daughters and has three grandchildren. Cathy is a member of the Anointed Tabernacle, under the leadership of pastor Lamar Belcher. Cathy has always had a great passion and heart that cried out to help people of all backgrounds.
As a foster mother for 18 years; she accepted many children in her home, and encouraged them to be “ All that they could be “. She was a mentor to new foster parents, helping them transition info the foster care program. Cathy was part of the buddy system called “ CAFAP", where she taught motivational classes and assisted families through respite. She was a co-chair for overcomers group, which is a weekly N/A meeting where people come together and share life issues and solutions.
In 1995 Cathy took a course in Christian Education at United Christian College at the Ebenezer Temple in Hartford Connecticut. In 1998 Cathy was ordained as an Evangelist, under the leadership of Bishop Andrew Mccorey, at Greater Joy Mission. In 1998 Cathy was inspired to start a weekly television show called “ Women of Destiny’. She made it her mission to not only speak but also brought in other motivational speakers to speak into lives of families. After starting her television show, she decided it was time to travel to many different events, in order for her to gain a better understanding of what it is like to help and empower people all over the world. Cathy facilitated The "Women of Warfare Conference”, that had taken place in New Jersey. And in 2012 she facilitated “ The Wailing Women Wins Conference”, that was held in Connecticut.
Cathy now collaborates with DCF through a connect grant, where she had started with an idea and now it has expanded into a successful group, called “ Destiny Outreach”, which is held every Tuesday at the Community Cultural Center, in East Hartford, Connecticut. Cathy also sits on the board in East Hartford, route 2 collaborative. Cathy has currently been interviewed on 104.9 on WKND; and has also been a guest on channel 5.
In April, she hosted a conference called, “Dream Again”a conferenct that inspires men and women to reach there destiny. Cathy continues to poor into the lives of people on a daily bases. This conferenct prompted the “Destiny Outreach Support Group”, a place where families will come and be empowered and encouraged to Dream.
